Behind is the Alpe delle Tre Potenza, among the highest peaks in the region (1940 m), and smaller peaks such as Monte Gomito (1825 m) and Selletta (1720 m), while in front is the majestic Open Book (1937m). The territory of Abetone has always been a crossing point of the Apennines, so much so that it is said to have also been used by Hannibal to enter Etruria. The ski area is divided into three main zones; the first area, facing the Tuscan side of Abetone made up of the historic slopes of Abetone which consists of the two blue tracks suitable for beginners Selletta and Chierroni, two easy slopes that run in the middle of the woods, and the Riva, a red suitable to all that reaches up to 1200 meters. about. There are also some variants that connect the different routes, such as the red Foresto that connects the Selletta to the Riva. The area is served by a careened chairlift and two tandem chairlifts. The second area consists of the slopes on the Emilian side of the municipality: it includes the three most well-known tracks of Abetone, the three Zenos, designed by the great ski champion Zeno Col\u00f2 (the slopes, one black and two red, are suitable for everyone; winding through the woods from a height of about 1820 meters up to about 1300), the simple and fun Pulicchio and the Stucchi, a beautiful route of medium difficulty. The lifts are two chair lifts, a ski lift and a fast and capacious gondola lift. The third area includes the slopes of the Val di Luce, home to wide and bright trails; it consists of three main routes (Passo d&#8217;Annibale, Alpe delle tre Potenze, Celina Seghi) of easy or medium difficulty and is served by three four-seater chairlifts and one two-seater chairlift.
